First leg of UEFA Champions League quarter finals will be played on 1-2 April

ANKARA - The first leg matches in UEFA Champions League Quarter Final phase will be played on 1st and 2nd of April.

Having announced their 24th Bundesliga title last week, Germany's Bayern Munich will play away to English team Manchester United on Tuesday. The match in Manchester United's home stadium, Old Trafford, kicks off at 20:45 CET.

Home team Manchester United may lack many regulars such as suspended French left-back Patrice Evra and injured Dutch forward Robin van Persie. Meanwhile in Bayern Munich, Brazilian centre-back Dante will miss the match due to a suspension and Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara is unable to play against "Red Devils" owing to his injury.

Two Spanish teams will meet on Tuesday. Barcelona will host Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou Stadium. The match at Barcelona's home ground kicks off at 20:45 CET. Goalkeeper of Barca, Victor Valdes, will not play for this match due to his injury, and it is doubtful that his teammate Carles Puyol will be able to play also. The away team Atletico Madrid may lack their regular midfielder Raul Garcia who is suspended for this match.

There will be two matches played on Wednesday. Spanish giants Real Madrid will encounter Borussia Dortmund in Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The match kicks off at 20:45 CET. Real Madrid will be on the pitch without many aces such as two its Spainards Alvaro Arbeloa and Jese, and German midfielder Sami Khedira. Similarly, Germany's Borussia Dortmund have many injured players including German midfielder Sven Bender, Polish midfielder Jakub Błaszczykowski, Turkish-German central midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, German left-back Marcel Schmelzer and Serbian centre-back Neven Subotic.

French team Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will play against England's Chelsea in Paris. The showdown at Parc des Princes kicks off at 20:45 CET. In PSG, Dutch full-back Gregory van der Wiel may miss the match due to his injury and Chelsea's Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto'o who is suffering from hamstring injury is uncertain to be a player for this match.
