KUWAIT CITY – The Kuwaiti cabinet on Monday welcomed a planned visit by Turkish President Abdullah Gul to the Gulf Arab country on Tuesday.
Speaking following a cabinet meeting, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said "the cabinet welcomes the visit by President Gul and his espouse on April 1-3".
Gul is expected to meet a host of Kuwaiti officials during his three-day visit for talks on bilateral relations and regional developments, according to a statement issued by the Turkish presidency.
The visit, the sixth by the Turkish President to Kuwait in the past six years, coincides with the 50th anniversary of the launch of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Kuwait.
