ANKARA - The three-way battle for Turkey's top football division title between Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas continues as Turkey reaches matchday 28 on Friday.
The opening match of the week will be played between Gaziantepspor and Kasimpasa on Friday. The match is set for 8 p.m. (17:00 GMT).
The third place holder Besiktas will face the relegation candidate Kayserispor, which is on the bottom of the league table. In the game on Saturday, Besiktas may miss the services of many of its regulars -- including Manuel Fernandes, Tomas Sivok, Ersan Gulum -- due to injuries.
On Sunday, the eyes of Turkish football fans will be on arguably one of the most highly anticipated matches in Turkish football, between archrivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
The clash of the two Istanbul teams -- set for 7 p.m. local time (16:00 GMT) -- will take place in Galatasaray's home ground, Turk Telekom Arena.
League leaders Fenerbahce won the last derby against Galatasaray 2-0 in November 2013.
Galatasaray's Aydin Yilmaz, who is suffering from a possible season-ending injury, will miss out on the game, and it is doubtful whether Didier Drogba, Aurelien Chedjou and Hamit Altintop will play or not.
The visiting Fenerbahce may miss the services of two of its midfieldiers, Alper Potuk and Cristian Baroni.
