ISTANBUL - British cyclist Mark Cavendish will race for the first time in the 50th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey as part of the OmegaPharma-Quick Step team from Belgium.
The 50th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey is being held April 27 - May 4 beginning in Alanya, Antalya province, and ending in Istanbul.
Cavendish has won 25 Tour de France stages so far in his career placing him third on the all-time winners list of the world’s most famous cycling race in addition to a gluttony of other titles. He also plans to represent Isle of Man in this year’s commonwealth games in Glasgow, Scotland.
