SANAA – Two Houthis were killed and one injured in an attack in Yemeni capital Sanaa on Monday, a security source said.

Militants had targeted a library owned by Houthis in central Sanaa, added the source.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

The Shiite Houthi movement first appeared in 1992, making Yemen's northern Saada province its main base of operations.

Several rounds of subsequent fighting between the Shiite militant group and the Yemeni army have claimed many lives on both sides.
