Italian cyclist scoops fifth stage of 50th Presidential Cycling Tour in 4 hours, 34 minutes

ANTALYA - Elia Viviani, the Italian road-racing cyclist for Italian team Cannondale, has won the fifth stage - his first - in the 50th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey.

Viviani completed the 183km-long circuit between the provinces of Marmaris and Bodrum on Thursday in four hours, 34 minutes and 11 seconds.

British cyclist Marc Cavendish, who will wear the green jersey for the next Bodrum-Selcuk circuit as the leading sprint-cyclist, came second and Italian Kristian Sbaragli came third.

Estonian cyclist Rein Taaramae from Cofidis Solutions Credits is currently first in the individual standings.

The fifth stage of the tour will be held on Friday in a 201km-track located between the Bodrum province of Mugla and Selcuk province of Izmir.
