Bayern Munich extend keeper Neuer's contract

ANKARA - Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich's German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer on Saturday signed a new contract with his club, keeping him with the Bavarian giants until 2019.
CEO of Bayern Munich, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge announced before a general assembly that the club renewed Neuer's contract for 5 years.
Calling Neuer a top-class goalkeeper, Rummenigge quoted him saying he would always stay with Bayern Munich.
The 28-year-old German international, who had been bought from another Bundesliga team, Schalke 04 in 2011 for a transfer fee of 27.5 million euros, has been capped for Germany for 45 times so far. He was named the best goalkeeper in 2013 by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics.
