Turkish Airlines celebrates 20 years of flights to Manchester with events in the city's shopping centre promoting the exploration of new cultures through flight

MANCHESTER - Turkish Airlines, Turkey's flag carrier, celebrated 20 years of flights between Istanbul and Manchester in the U.K. by holding several events in Manchester Sunday.

The airline's Manchester branch also hung a huge model airplane from the ceiling of the Trafford Centre, one of the largest indoor shopping centers in Europe.

Cengiz Turksoy, Turkish Airlines' Director for Manchester said they were promoting their flights to the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Asia during the events. 

"We gave the message to the visitors of 'Fly and explore new cultures'" he added. 

Turksoy also said that they had opened four stands in the Trafford Centre to symbolize the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Far East.
