Casualties reported among pro-Russian separatists in renewed 'anti-terror' offensives
SLOVYANSK, Ukraine – Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed in clashes with pro-Russian separatists near the eastern city of Slovyansk on Monday, government sources said.
Pro-Russian gunmen used heavy weapons to resist a renewed 'anti-terror' operation, in which three casualties reported among separatists.
According to official data, the clashes left at least 60 people from both sides injured.
Ukrainian defense ministry said a military helicopter was shot down during the clashes, but pilots survived.
Government buildings and police stations in several eastern Ukraine cities are in the hands of armed pro-Russian groups as government forces continue operations.
