WASHINGTON D.C. - A U.S. special envoy will visit Turkey from May 20 to 23, the U.S. Department of State said Tuesday.
U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism (SEAS) Ira Forman will travel to Istanbul and capital Ankara, where he will meet with Turkish government officials and several Jewish communities.
Forman is to travel to Ukraine's Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk from May 14 to 16, to meet with Jewish community leaders and government officials. Forman was scheduled to discuss the situation of Jewish communities in Ukraine and reaffirm U.S. support for the Ukrainian people.
Forman will meet with government officials and non-governmental organizations in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv between May 25-28.
