Lithuanian gas company reaches agreement with Gazprom

ANKARA – Lithuania’s largest natural gas company Lietuvos Dujos said on Thursday that an agreement has been reached with Russian energy giant Gazprom on a discount for the gas they purchase.
A statement on Lietuvos Dujos website said the company had “entered into an agreement with Gazprom, who supplies natural gas, regarding a significant reduction in the price of natural gas imported by Lietuvos Dujos.”
According to Russian newspapers, the discount is estimated at 20 percent.
Lietuvos Dujos is 37 percent owned by Gazprom, and has roughly 40 percent share of the gas market in Lithuania.
