SANAA – Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi on Thursday offered his condolences to Turkey for the victims of this week's mine explosion.

In a condolence message to Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Hadi "expressed sorrow" for Tuesday's mine blast in Turkey's western Manisa province in which at least 282 coal miners were killed.

Turkey has declared three days of national mourning – during which flags are being flown at half-mast and parliament has been closed – for the victims of what is being described as one of the worst mining accidents in the country's history.
