The Turkish Airlines Challenge has begun in the coastal province of Antayla.
ANTALYA – After a 4-year-break from the European Tour 156 golfers from 20 countries, including 13 Turkish players, are taking part in the Turkish Airlines Challenge in the province of Antalya.
The tournament, which is being held in National Golf Club, began Thursday and will last for four days. There is 175,000 euros prize money up for grabs with 28,000 euros to be awarded to the winner of the tournament.
The Turkish Airlines Challenge is set to be part of the European Tour schedule till 2017.
As the tournament commenced there was a silence to the mine disaster in Soma, which has so far left 282 people dead.
