MOSCOW - Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Monday "We are ready for dialogue with Kiev representatives, with Petro Poroshenko and we don't need any mediators."

Russia's statement came a day after 48-year-old Poroshenko claimed absolute victory following the first exit polls in Ukraine’s presidential elections that gave him a dominant lead with 55.9 percent of the vote, while former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko received only 12.9 percent of the vote.

Earlier Monday, the billionaire said he would support strong ties with Europe, but also desired to mend ties with Russia.
