SANAA – Three policemen were killed in a drive-by shooting on Monday in Yemen's eastern city of Marib, a security source has said.
Gunmen on a motorbike opened fire on a police patrol in the city, leaving three soldiers dead, the source told Anadolu Agency.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack, while the Yemeni authorities have yet to issue a comment.
Yemen has been dogged by turmoil since pro-democracy protests in 2011 forced autocratic president Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down after 33 years in power.
In the three years since, authorities have struggled to restore law and order.
