Egypt's Sisi meets Iraq vice-president

CAIRO – Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi on Monday met with Iraqi Vice-President Khodair al-Khozaei in Cairo to discuss means of bolstering cooperation, especially combating terrorism.
Al-Khozaei said that his country was interested in bolstering economic and political cooperation and fighting terrorism, Egyptian Presidency spokesman Ihab Badawi said.
According to the spokesman, the Iraqi Vice-President expressed hope that Egypt would offer technical support and training for his country in fighting terrorism.
The Iraqi official also reviewed his country's needs in the fields of construction, infrastructure and agriculture.
"He also welcomed Egyptian workers, technical expertise and companies in Iraq," Badawi said of the Iraqi vice-president.
He added that al-Sisi underlined his country's rejection of foreign interference either in Iraq or any other Arab country.
The spokesman said that the Egyptian President also welcomed cooperation with Iraq in all fields.
Al-Sisi was sworn in and inaugurated as Egypt's president on Sunday.
