ANKARA - The Turkish Treasury has posted a cash balance deficit of 13.6 billion Turkish liras ($6.3 billion) for July.
According to provisional figures released Thursday, the Treasury’s cash revenues were 25.3 billion liras, while its non-interest expenditures were 34.8 billion liras.
The deficit came after an interest payment of 5.4 billion liras, officials said in a statement.
The government also announced it will continue with plans to pay back 40.4 billion liras of domestic debt between August and October.
