Areas controlled by Syrian opposition in Aleppo come under attack from army helicopters
ALEPPO – Up to 25 people have been killed, including women and children, after Syrian army helicopters attacked areas in Aleppo under Syrian opposition control with barrel bombs, according to opposition sources.
The helicopters bombed the areas of Meadi, Kadi Askeri, Mesekin Hananu, Besatin Kusur and old Aleppo, Yasir Ahmed, the media officer for the Local Coordination Committees of Syria Aleppo, told Anadolu Agency on Monday.
Ahmed said dozens of people were injured in the attacks by the Syrian regime.
Civil defense teams tried to pull injured people and dead bodies out from the debris of demolished houses with what limited resources they had, Ahmed said.
