JERUSALEM - An explosive charge exploded at a car affiliated to an Israeli force guarding Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, an Israeli source said.

No casualties were reported from the blast, which caused damage to the vehicle, the source told Israel Radio.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the blast.

Tensions have been piling up in the occupied West Bank since Israel launched a military offensive on the Gaza Strip with the aim of undermining the ability of Gaza-based factions to fire rockets.

At least 1943 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 10,000 others injured in the onslaught since July 7.
