Five people killed in Baghdad car bomb blast

BAGHDAD - Five people have been killed and 10 injured in a car bomb explosion in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, according to officials.
The bomb was detonated in southern Baghdad near Diyala Bridge, security officials said.
The explosion occurred as security was tightened amid protests by supporters of current Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, after Iraqi deputy parliamentary speaker Haider al-Abadi was tasked with forming the government in Iraq.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
